Great news! The BARD mobile app is NOW available and is free with registration.

The long awaited NLS (National Library Service for Blind and Physically Handicapped) braille and recording download app is now available.  This app provides access to braille and talking books directly from the NLS braille and audio reading download.

BARD has nearly 50,000 books, magazines, and music scores in audio and braille and new selections are added daily.  BARD mobile allows you to play the audio materials on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. If your device is connected to a refreshable braille display through Bluetooth, you can also read the braille materials on BARD.  Before you can use this BARD mobile app, you must be registered with a braille and talking-book library in the NLS network of cooperating libraries.

This is a wonderful option so you no longer need to download the books to your computer and then transfer them to the mobile device. You just download the app and then download the books.

Please call me if you have additional questions 612-843-3400.
