Marla Runyan was the special guest for our 100th Anniversary Kick-off Luncheon. She was truly inspiring and we are very excited to be able to share this with everyone. Below is the first part of her talk which centers around her experience in the 2006 Twin Cities Marathon.
About Marla Runyan: Marla has been legally blind since childhood, but that never slowed her pace. A two-time Olympian, national and world record holder, international and Paralympic distance running champion and marathoner, Marla now teaches at Perkins School for the Blind. Her undaunted, winning spirit inspires all she meets to set and exceed their own expectations.
