Independent Living Skills (ILS) Staff

Part Time, Flexible Hours

At DeafBlind Services Minnesota (DBSM), we help deafblind individuals maintain their independence. An ILS helps deafblind clients with daily errands and communication, mail reading, paperwork and using creative problem-solving skills to communicate.  May assist with visual information including surroundings, locating items, and reading labels and any written documents or written communication.  Requirements:  Proficiency in sign language and deafblind communication modes.  Familiarity with deafblind culture.  High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license and insurance. Ability and desire to work with people of differing abilitie3s and various cultural backgrounds.
